Thoughs about the year so far

Poor Harry criticized for doing his job [and lets face it why should any one die for queen and country If royals are not prepared too ] he was there like all our boys to do!

The rights and wrongs of that are debatable . What is not is the fact that we send the army in to win hearts and minds and defend the women children , men and any one who is potentially a victim of draconian oppressive fascist fundamentalists. In the case of Afghanistan and now Mali and Algeria . The United Nations and the developed rich country's have a duty and responsibility to support and assist those country's that are vulnerable. who are in need of military support to defend their fragile democratic egalitarian society that are threatened by the brutality and aggression of Islamic fundamentalism. [Watching unreported world on UK channel 4 the girls learning to be taxi drivers in Dacca had to stay in as Islamist males marched on the streets to demand that women are stooped from receiving education and not allowed to be in public or work outside the home basically an anti equality march. Any man who thinks like is in need of drastic reeducation though its true to say that much of the world is not far off thinking that way even among women that view is a part of the minority ]

The alternative is to open our doors to let them into Europe so they can escape from the carnage and oppression that they would suffer if there country is over run and dominated by the fundamentalist.

I think the people of France and of Spain may know the risk we face here . Do we want a world under the domination of Islamic fundamentalists or Russian government run Mafia and KGB or the Chines peoples republic. With Crazy Christian USA democracy falling in slow senility as they fight about the right to carry arms and fighting a war against its own terrors of mass killings. or can we opt out given we created an Empire to rival Rome. This is the British dilemma.

The strange thing is that we here in the United Kingdom have in many ways the key in that our influence is global just now . The ethnicity religiously tolerant and multiple  cultural make up of this land is the greatest advantage we have. Our ability to welcome all to the Mother Country is legendary and mythological as well as physical and actual. Now in the present day and in our history and most ancient past .

The United Kingdom is the home of the Goddess . Rome recognized that and the two major leaders of the Christian world as we know it Elizabeth Queen of England and the Benedict the Pope.

It is the female influence of the goddess that is needed to make the world a better place The better way to live would be without the need for any type of mystical myth of a super being but its not very sensible to even think about that as most people in the world are not at this point in our Human evolution ready to give up the safety blanket of a belief in superior being.

Personally I get my feeling of spirituality from science and the understanding of nature and the cosmos and see my place in it as a part of the conscious thinking part in many ways I and all the other thinking humans are the god or goddess part of the cosmos The Am that I am .

Flood then Snow and Freeze

Central London had its first snow of the year in January now we are at candle mass and into February Tomorrow I will be 62 . An at the moment I feel it.

Erratic weather is with us now for sure!  Our failure as the human race  to address Global warming in a sensible way. Is Currently shocking people but how long before we accept that erratic weather is the norm. 

Sitting watching the six nations Rugby and sorting through my seeds for the new year of planting As the innstruction say for an early crop plant in February. But waterlogged ground will defeat this ctrop I think if we do not have a drying out period. 

My Camilla out side the front door facing the south in a bit of shelter has put out flower buds and risking being burn by the frost.and snow. but it still hangs on last year it just managed to flower for a couple of days before the cold and damp caused the flowers to fall before they even had time to fade.

My kiwi fruit  of two years growth put out leavers last year then died. The four year old fig tree is doing better.

The Italians have beat the French in a really great game bless them result.

Generally I have planted the front garden [ I don't have one at the back of the house as it was built on the back of the plot before the rest of London came out to swallow up the cottages ] With as many things that will grow in thew extreme of conditions that we are experiencing more and more in London these days from tropical s to alpine and hot and cold desert plants and as many as will supply food all in a plot 21 feet by 75 feet with space to park the car and a shrine to the sun to celebrate the summer solstice and mark the spring and autumn equinox and the winter solstice. All in the hope that what ever global warming brings some thing of food and beauty will survive.

As water to a warrior Mars we aim to tow, to slake his thirst like Venus dear to whisper blessings in his ancient ear.

Beyond my years is hard to tell but further on I see it well the movement out on through the stars well beyond our brother Mars .

Aquarius Lord of peace takes water as far as can be reached as out of systems crystal shell its Ice that rules over fire as well.

Its not be chance the fire spirits where the first that fell and where given domain over all as well.. The Creator is light that we know well, for with out Light how would we tell just who and what and where we are.

For the earth to be inherited by the meek.

So ice age once again will peek.

Before Nova burn up of the earth the sun will seek.

Yet spirit now among the stars where humans may survive on Mars.

An further out from where now I stand It floats just like a grain of sand, that I may just dust off my hand .

The Green Dragon

This my picture of the green dragon who discovers that people think he is a myth and sinks into a state of depression and loses his fire so he hides in the cave only to find that a neolithic human group has taken it over while he has been away greening the earth.

He was drawn in 1979 when I was there working for Australian  Dr.Bernardo in the children services,  getting involved with green issues and aboriginal land rights. 

I always felt that Australia was a land of dragons  as one chased of the iguanas of the lawn and out of the swimming pool at the children's home before the kids had finished breakfast we had a couple of fractured arms with the kids fighting with them ! So staff had to get them out before they came out to play though. 

On school days they got to have the place to them selves for the early part of the day  as most of the time it was a rush to get trhe kids up dressed breakfast and on the bus to be driven to their dispersed suburban schools around Sydney.

My true green awakening was born in Australia the difference between the natural out back and the industrialized abused and desolated landscapes was so apparent that you could not but realize that we had to get some sort of handle on the destruction of our environment I would say that for me Australia is  

The green credentials for the 2012 Olympics started out high with a great deal of promises. The reality has been some what less. That is also true of the promises made at the public meetings free tickets where to be made available to the council tax payers of the Olympic boroughs ! Became  local hero's being nominated for tickets.
All the heavy stuff a aggregates for the building work to be brought in by water through the canal system new tidal locks at Bow. More work for local people? most of the promises where not to be! Much of the work on the site was done by migrant workers from the European union. most of the sponsoring company's are not British and the profits made will not be benifiting people here. The Bulk of the profit will be leaving the country.
The  bulk of the British workers on the Olympics have been people employed at the basic living wage or as volunteers The biggest percentage of the population around the Olympic park do not have the expendable capital to afford an Olympic ticket as the percentage of unemployed people in the surrounding boroughs is the highest in London and possible among the highest in the whole of the UK.
The wind turbines to provide all the electricity for thew park where dropped. It is true to say that the project has cleaned up and cleared a large area of polluted land it has also taken a lot of facilities away from local people and we have yet to see if those facilities are returned or replaced for the local people. 

The Olympics are a pagan ceremony to worship the ancient Gods of Mount Olympus  during the original games lives would be lost as the games progressed these where seen as sacrifices to the gods. Interestingly enough among my group of friends and acquaintances these games have so far cost two lives one young lad stabbed in a case of mistaken identity  in the week before in the security step up around the park . The other knocked off his bike by an Olympic Bus.

From my own personal point of view I actually enjoy the Olympics and the sport the opening ceremony was a real good message to the world to reminding  them what we the long suffering British people have given to the rest of the world we restarted the Olympics for better or worse from what can only be described as our village sports days and games. We also gave the world wide web responsible for the current Arabic spring and to some extent the bringing down of many tyrannical governments over the last half century around the globe and the birth of many fledgling democracy's.

In many ways for me this I feel will be the swan song of Britain as we move further into the Millennium I hope at the end of this games we are going out on a high.

Assad gets the shit kicked out of him in Syria.

For daring to be the pretender to the role of the Lord of Oppression.

The true Lord of Oppression comes to London to see the heroes perform before him and receive their Laurels for their art and culture as well as their stamina and skills.

Yet all the week the alternative news is of Sudanese  Muslim female mutilation in the United Kingdom and The British lack of prosecutions against the practitioners.

Generally it is our inability to deal with the politically correct culture in an adult way rather than being childish about it which is definitely the way most British people deal with it.

Meanwhile the people of the Yemen starve as they cant afford to buy food while the government gets financial help from the USA to provide arms for the fight against Al-Qa’ida.

In Israel the population is now revolt against the government for starving the poor and giving to the rich.

While the Joker fights his arch enemy Batman by indiscriminately killing people in a Cinerama complex. An the president Mr. Obama becomes the Sympathetic man next-door for many in the USA. Sharing in their pain?

So how dose this play with the same guy who gave the order to kill Osama Bin Ladin watched on TV by the whole nation nay the whole World .

Here in the city of London the capital of the world just now as the Olympics begins on Friday all the eyes of the world that have any interest in sport are focused on my neighborhood.

Yet I have no voice and feel totally disenfranchised from what is going on here my interest roams across the world and nits aches and pains and for rest and relaxation I garden where ever and when ever I can to repair the on going damage we are causing to the planet.

So for that I am glade that the Olympic park has been created and I hope the lame god the great father Jupiter enjoys his visit to the park we have created for him and that some where in the Bow back river system the water spirits can give voice to a prophecy for a brighter future.

The Lord of oppression knows we need some thing what is happening in Europe Spain now needs bailing out Greece has fallen through the gaps and Italy is on the brink Erie is falling apart. I just wonder why they do not just devalue the Euro now there is an interesting thought.
